Old people can blog too!

Dad and Mom are finally learning to blog. So we will start with our trip to the Philippines, a few days at a time, and get caught up through this summer!

Dad and I in winter coats at the airport on the cold, snowy morning that we left.

We had a layover for a few hours in Japan. Our first time there!

Coffee at 2am after a 24 hours of traveling. They have McDonalds even in the Philippines! These are a couple elders in the church who picked us up.

View from the balcony of our home. Will post exterior pictures later....

The compound where we stayed consisited of private bedrooms/bathrooms, with a common eating and sitting area.

Dad getting his $3.00 haircut and massage. We thought it was a great bargain until we found out later that the going rate was about $0.50!!

These are the maids who did all the cooking/cleaning/laundry. Wished I could have taken them home with me!!

Dad getting acupuncture. This is a man of the congregation whose job is acupuncture. Dad had felt woozy the day before during preaching, so this was his way of healing that! Doesn't dad look thrilled?

The next two pics are of a house under construction, and one completed both in our compound. This is in a nicer, middle class neighborhood. There is also great poverty.... pics later.

Raised bamboo beds of veggies.

Our bedroom.
